Gifts Bar Drinking Pub Landlord Alcohol

Do you have a local pub or bar you like to visit frequently? A place where everybody knows your name? Maybe you’re moving away and want to leave something for your fellow pub-dwellers to remember you by. Perhaps you’re the landlord of a drinking establishment and feel like buying something to liven up your customers’ evenings.

Whatever the situation, buying a gift for a bar full of people to share won’t always immediately bring to mind a wide range of ideas, so here’s some food (or drink) for thought.

Fun and Games

Most pubs already have some games for the punters, such as a pool table, fruit machine or darts board. If you’re a pub landlord and you don’t have some or all of these things, then get on it right away without delay. These are must-haves in any good watering hole, and are the perfect way to get the customers having fun and buying more drinks.

For those of you who aren’t pub landlords, a pool table might seem like a tall order, but a darts board or even an old second hand pinball machine are definite possibilities. If you’re leaving for good, then something along those lines will act as a great positive reminder of you and your presence every time they have a game, and even if you’re not leaving it should earn you a few free drinks at the very least.

Classy Hooch

Pubs and bars are well renowned for their extensive stock of alcoholic beverages. However, there’s always going to be certain things they don’t have. Fine wines, expensive spirits or perhaps a crate of imported beer are all possible gifts for the bar. You might even have some of your own home brewed drink that you’d like to share.

This gift will give your friends and acquaintances a chance to enjoy something together that they wouldn’t usually get a chance to, and make you the toast of the town (or bar) for at least that evening. If all goes well, they might not quite remember it the next day.

Always remember to encourage responsible drinking and that imported alcohol must be given as a gift only, as selling it may be considered an illegal offence. Also, be careful not to ruffle the landlord’s feathers with this gift, as you will probably be losing him a bit of money.

The Personal Touch

If you’ve really gotten to know the other people at your local bar, or if you have a particularly close group of friends, you might want to consider a fun personalized novelty gift. There are certain companies, most of them online, that will create personalised beer or wine bottles with either a person’s name artistically printed on each one, or even a photograph.

This gives you a great opportunity to buy a fun gift that can stay behind the bar forever, reminding you of some of your best times there. It also gives you the perfect chance to come up with some funny nicknames for all of your friends.
